Dated July 22, 1914. The text of the letter to Mr. F. G. Smith of Pony, Mont. Reads,
"My dear Mr. Smith;
Referring to our conversation of Sunday beg to advise that, after due consideration of the matter of the sale of the control of this bank, Mr. McKay and Mr. Johnson have directed me to say to you that they do not care to sell nor to place a price on their holdings."
The letter is signed by Wm. P. Green.
