The letterhead is from:
"Gene McQ. McCarthy
Hereford Cattle
Sheep and Hogs
Townsend, Mont."

There is an engraving of a Hereford in the center of the letterhead.

Dated July 15, 18. The letter is sent from Mandlow, Montana, which may no longer exist. Mr. McCarthy seems to be a very prosperous farmer. The letter reads,
"State Bank of Townsend,
Townsend, Mont.
Gentlemen:-
Enclosed find check for $950000 which you will please place to my credit.
Please send me amount of my note that is due, with interest, and I will send you check for same.
Very Truly Yours
Gene McCarthy"

Note that the paper seems to be of high quality and it is pink.
