There is a small embossed figure of a capital building with the word Congress on the top of the lined paper used for this correspondence. This letter appears to be a response from the County Treasurer to an inquiry from Holter Hardware regarding the amount of taxes they owed to the County in 1876.
Dated Nov 23ed 1876. The letter was sent from Radersburg M. T. by D. H. Linebarger Treasurer. The total amount of taxes owed by Holter Bros. was $211.81, of which amount $23.94 was payable by submitting warrants.
