"Mr C. W. Pomeroy
Kalispell Mont.
Dear Sir and Bro,
Your personal letter of the 27th, Received Relative to the subscription for the intertainment [sic] of the Grand Commandery.

Now Mr Pomeroy I will say that I did not answer any of the former request [sic] for a subscription was because there was a serious feeling among the Brothers here about the amount requested from each Brother, Then the time We will loose [sic] on the road one round trip atleast [sic], which is $13.00 more and the Templers [sic] up here all being working men, And the expensive cost of living takes one months saving, I have heard considerable discussion over this, And the Brothers here think that as most of the Kalispell templers [sic] are business men they can well afford the money for intertainment [sic], And at there [sic] own home and business going on at the same time while we have to lay off and makes it cost us here twice the amount it will You brothers at home.

We have called a meeting of all the Sir Knights at 1Pm April 3rd, To meet and discuss the amount We will subscribe and advise You at once.

Yours Very Truly, and Fraternally.
H. T. Mayfield"
