The letterhead is from:

Stevensville, Mont."

Dated Oct 23d 1889. This is a personal letter to Mrs. Rosa V. Buck (his wife) who seems to be staying in Missoula for the week. It reads in part:
"...Little Charles Amos seems to be contented. He has given us no trouble. last [sic] night he enquired many times about Ma Ma. I told him you would be home Friday and bring him some thing nice....
with much love
I am ever yours
Amos"

The envelope that this letter was mailed in is included with 4 cents postage and a Missoula postmark dated Oct 24, 1889.
