Dated Sept 9th 1891. The letter is mailed to Amos' wife, Rosa, at [?] Hot Springs. It reads in part:
"I arrived home safe on Sunday eve and found everything in good order...I picked and sold nearly all of our early apples....How are you getting along. I hope you will improve and get well. How is our little boy I think of you both very often and look forward with pleasure for your return....
With much love I am ever your loving husband tell Charley his kitty kats can run all round, Amos"
