The letterhead is from "Garland & Ripley Livery, Feed and Sale Stables, Dealers in Wines, Liquors and Cigars. Allerdice, Mont." The engraving in the upper left hand corner is of a buggy pulled by two trotting horses.

Dated June 20 1890. The message reads:
"R. C. Halliday
Send one barrl[sic] of whiskey, try & get it off today
Garland & Ripley"
