This is not a letterhead, but a letter from "J. L. Collins" of Bynum, Montana to Bateman & Switzer Great Falls Mont.

Dated Aug 7- 93. The letter reads:
"Gentlemen
Owing to the financial condition of our country and the failure of the Bank in which Mess Geo A. Fry & Co had their money on on [sic] deposit to meet their obligations & being unable to [religh?] on their assets they found it absolutely necessary to make an assignment in favour of all their creditors their [sic] seems to be plenty to pay with but must have time to arrange their business
Yours truly
J. L. Collins assigna"
[There was a financial 'panic' in 1893 which caused many hardships. This appears to be one of them.]
